Blue Steel is essentially black with a hint of blue- like Superman's hair, or the barrel of a gun.  It has a shimmery pearlescent finish that reminds me of Aubergine (mostly matte black punctuated with an overlay of shimmery mica).  Blue Steel is intended as a liner or deep crease color, but for a simple smokey eye just use this as a wash with a bit of black liner. 

It's our clone of Urban Decay's Gunmetal.  This one does vary a bit from the original in side by side swatches, but once it's on your eyes you'll be hard-pressed to tell the difference.
