We use 3% magnesium ascorbyl phosphate in all of our Vitamin C serums. It's very shelf stable, and does not sting. It's equivalent to about 10% l-ascorbic acid.
Syn-Coll is generally found in the very high end ($100 plus) products. It's a specialty peptide that helps to rebuild collagen- this will help get rid of wrinkles. The manufacturer says you can expect a 350% decrease in wrinkles in just 3 months. I'm not going to say that- but I've used this for quite a while, and it does make a difference. It's great for those little nagging lines- crow's feet, the laugh lines, and the other assorted crinkles. The moment you put it on you can feel the peptides go to work- skin feels tighter, smoother, and much firmer.
Certified Organic White Tea extract is loaded with polyphenols and is a fantastic anti-oxident. It also helps with inflammation, and has slightly astringent qualities, so it feels fresh and lovely.
Panthenol- another great hydrator and humectant. It instantly plumps skin.

Now, there is a little controversy about DMAE- some guy up in Quebec put a high pH solution on a bunny ear, and some of the cells died. Any high pH solution will cause cell damage- that's why our DMAE serum is buffered, and in the case of skin cells they die all the time anyway- it's not necessarily a bad thing. I've read the actual paper that he wrote, and I think it's unnecessarily alarmist. I've used DMAE for a few years. I think it's safe, and it really makes a difference in the way my skin looks. We do have essentially the same serum available without DMAE if you're prefer to skip it.
Please note: The formula of this was changed in June of 2011. The percentages of the active ingredients are the same as always, but the thickener and hydration system was changed. You may want to re-sample this if you have very sensitive skin.
