Our Pore Refining Toner is a 99% natural blend of super hydrating ingredients plus a specially distilled sweet orange oil to help dissolve excess oil. The orange oil breaks-up the oil, and the hydrators make the pores smaller. It doesn't sound like much but it works like magic! There is a bit of a knack to it and it does about a week to get your skin flawless- but you'll get there!
Generally pores look enlarged for a few reasons- the biggest one is dehydration. When your skin lacks water the pores expand to secrete more oil, and some gets trapped. When that oil gets trapped it oxidizes and turns into a black head. It's not actually dirt- it's just blackened oil. The other reason pores can look enlarged is from years of sun damage- we can help those, but this isn't the product for that.
The oil does sit on the bottom of the bottle- so be sure to shake it before you use it. You get a 2 ounce (60 ml) bottle- enough for several weeks. If you have regular old dry skin with big pores the declogging process is pretty simple. Take a warm shower, and while your pores are all opened up- lightly scrape at your pores with the very clean loop of a paper clip (it's pretty much the same as an extraction tool). Then use the Pore Refining toner and follow it up with a little serum, and some moisturizer. The serum and moisturizer are important because your skin needs to be really hydrated to keep them really small. You don't need to really scrub scrub scrub at them to get them clean. Do a little, let the hydrators soak-in and do their job, and then use more toner if you decide you need it.
If you have really impacted black heads the same thing applies, but it's going to take a bit more work, and a little more time to get them all.
