Velvet is a deep purple with just a hint of copper added to it. Copper and Purple flatter a lot of skin tones- the copper has a way of making eye sparkle, and at least for eyes it's about as close to universally flattering as one can get. It makes a terrific evening look paired with Plush, and either Fire, Vanilla or Cream.

Compared to Bewitched- our other shimmering deep purple liner- it's darker, slightly less shimmery, and it has those gorgeous copper flecks in it.   Aubergine is a more neutral toned deep purple.
