Moving- ugh!

Post by Xarata » Tue Jun 03, 2008 5:12 pm

So It's official- outta Carbondale. I packed up (and tossed lots of) my 4 years in southern IL and I'm heading back to PA and the east coast (oh how i miss the east coast). All my mmu is packed away ::pouts:: lol. Right now I'm in Charleston but on Thursday it's a 12 hour drive and that just sucks so here's hoping for no traffic. Lots of rain so far! Can't wait to unpack all my makeup again! :)

*Karen- no issues with the lippies! thanks!

Sam, have a safe trip home! Rooting for clear sailing for you today! 12 hr drive is exhausting *but* you know you'll sleep in your own bed tonight! Tomorrow, you can play with all your little pots of magic powders! :D

Oh Sam!
That is unfortunate. I am glad you are all right, but feel for you with going through the hassle of getting it fixed. Ugghh.

Oh, Sam! I'm sorry! You're OK, though, right? You must've gotten a jolt. Did you get checked out?

Sorry you're stuck & sorry people drive while distracted, sigh!

I'm fine, my boyfriend is fine, the dog pooped herself when it happened but it fine. I'm sure I'm just going to end up with a check for the blue book value of my car. I drive a 1993 Ford Probe GT with 190,000miles on it. It's worth less than $1500. As long as it can be fixed to a driveable state, i want to take it home as soon as possible. I have 3 jobs waiting for me in PA and sitting around in Charleston isn't going to do me any good. It was entertaining when the guy's parole officer showed up, let me tell you. I think I'm going to take a nap. lol.

I'm glad to hear that you're okay, but that's a pretty serious bummer. I hope it all works out for you, and that the guy has insurance. Let us know if you need anything.

i guess everyone is entitled to a crappy week. The tornados blew through Charleston on Friday, flooding the rivers, ripping rooftops off of barns and tearing out power lines. Our house was relatively ok (just a bunch of furniture tossed around) but the power was out for 2 days and that kinda sucked. Even when i go camping, i enjoy the luxury of plumbing. we played rummikub and drank wine coolers on the porch and went to movies at night to kill time outside of a black house. (My boyfriend's house is in the boonies- "snaketrail road" if that tells you anything) This morning I woke up and saw a light in the closet and was very very happy. lol. Don't get to hear about my car until tomorrow...
