That's very expensive for ELF shipping, too bad they don't sell it in stores where you live.

I highly recommend the Fractionated Coconut Oil, and it is great for pressing foundation because it doesn't break me out at all, whereas most oils do. It is a very light non-greasy oil. Not sure how it would work for a very matte foundation, but for my foundation which is more of a dewy finish it works great.

Thanks a lot Oxana! You're video tutorial is awesome!! Now I'm jittery to try on the method! I wish I knew this earlier so I will have my staple shadows ready in pan before setting off for christmas holiday trip! Shipping for stuff takes too long time sometimes.

Zus, you're pans are beautiful! You made the cardboard boxes yourself?

Dear ladies,

I have many GWP and full-size SN shadow pots which only half-full, since I alway split my SN shadows in half with my sisters. I don't always wear shadows on daily basis anyway, so I thought why not share them with my sisters.

Anyway, now that I'm left with half-full jars, I doubt it I can fill 26mm pans for each color. Aside doing half-and-half pan like Oxana demonstrated in the tutorial video, do you think I can fit them in small rectangles or triangle (one-third round pan)? Like the size they have in TKBtrading.

I also am looking for aluminum pans instead of the tin ones. Have any suggestion where to buy?

TIA!

I think the TKB small rectangle ones will work size wise, they are smaller than the 26 mm round ones. TKB also has really small round ones, the 15mm, you could use those also.
When you say triangles, do you mean pressing 3 colors into one 26mm round pan? I think that will work especially for the GWPs since they are smaller, for the non-GWPs the pans will probably be really full or you might have a tiny bit left over that doesn't fit into the pan. But the triangles will be pretty small and you may have a hard time getting your brush into it without accidentally picking up any of the other colors. Is there a reason you want to press 3 into one pan instead of 2? Because a full SN e/s fits nicely into a 26mm pan, so if you have half filled ones, that will be perfect to do half and half with.
Aluminum pans comes with the palettes I buy from eBay, if you want just the pans though, The Conservatorie sells 26mm aluminum pans, I have bought them there before, their shipping is kind of costly.

Hehehe no Oxana. TKB actually has small triangular pans (which I just realized that the pans that come with the kit are all alumuniums!), which you assemble into round-ish shape.

I'm also looking for a large freestyle palette. Zs are kinda pricey. Yabi's are way cheaper but they're sold out everywhere. Unii's too small for not traveling and way too pricey for just organizing at home. The last time I checked on eBay, there were none.
They need to be freestyle because I have (and will have) lots of pans with different sizes and shapes.
Got any good suggestion?

Oh. And has anyone here tried pressing blushes?

ooh, I see, I didn't notice those triangle ones.

There are some freestyle palettes on etsy, not sure how much the other ones you mentioned cost, so I don't know if these are cheap or not: http://www.etsy.com/listing/79048951/ma ... t=handmade

I have pressed blushes with no problem, but only pearly/shimmery ones, not matte ones.

Oh. I've seen that one. Have you tried that one? Maybe someone can chime in about it's sturdiness and space etc?

No I have not tried it, I don't have any freestyle type palettes.
You could make your own, I've thought about it, but I only have round 26mm pans, so I don't really need one right now. But how I would make one is I would buy one of the ebay palettes, I have the 15 pan one and it just has foam on the inside that has the holes in it for the pans, it can be very easily just pulled off. Then you'd have to make it magnetic. If you are using tin pans you can just buy an adhesive magnet sheet, cut it to the right shape and stick it in the palette. If you have aluminum pans, you would need the magnet sheet to stick on the back of each pan, and then in the palette itself you would need to stick a sheet of magnetic metal. The easier way to get it is to buy a magnetic cork or dry erase board, break it open and pull the magnetic metal sheet out of there, cut it to shape, and glue it into the palette.

Frckls, yes I made the actual palettes myself. I really like making things from paper so I figure I'd try it and see what happened. I'm going to see if I can improve on my design, cover it with some some plastic so it's more wipeable :)

Before I made these I made a freestyle type palette by taking one of those metal pencil tins (like this: http://www.mirza.com.sa/COLOR%20PENCIL%20TIN%20BOX.jpg) and attaching a layer of magnets to the bottom (I used magnetic tape). But the tin I was using was a bit banged up and I couldn't find a new one with a design on it I liked, so I made these paper ones instead. But maybe a pencil tin is an option for you until you find your perfect solution? I'm going to give it another go myself once I find a pretty pencil tin.
