I'm going through the first cold of the season, and the skin around my nose is awful, no matter how soft the tissue is I'm using. Putting diaper rash cream (that's right) on it every time after I blow my nose seems to help usually, but this time it's just really bad. It didn't help that last night I absentmindedly wiped my hole face with an at-home acid peel pad, so that thing burned like heck and made it worst.
Any suggestion to make it go away faster?

Hydrocortisone cream can help calm irritation. When my skin has that inflamed, itchy, burning, irritated condition, a dab of that helps tremendously. (I also use it on mosquito bites, but that's another story.) I just get an over-the-counter formulation at the drug store.
