Hi,
I have been using Silk Naturals products for a while and want to try the foundation, especially since all the liquid foundations I have been trying have been problematic for my skin.
Some of my good foundation matches are:
MAC Face & Body in C5
Bobbi Brown Foundations in Honey
Makeup Forever HD in 153
I have also been matched to NC40 (undertone is right, but a bit too light) and NC42 (correct depth, but it is orange) in MAC foundations.
What base should I use? I was thinking I would either be Warm Gold or Buttery Gold. Foundations sometimes can go red/orange on me...
Here are a couple of pictures:

Thanks for all your help!
Foundation Mixing Help
Re: Foundation Mixing Help
I think the Buttery Gold and Warm Gold will be too light on their own. You might need some Deep Ebony for depth of color along with them.
I would try samples of Buttery Gold, Warm Gold, and Deep Ebony (this one will probably have to be ordered separate from the foundation sample pack). The goal is to have a good portion of white base in the mix. The color bases are just that...only color.
I would start with the colors on their own and see how they blend with your skintone. Then go from there. For the color bases without using Deep Ebony, I don't think you will be far off from a 1:1 or 1:2 (scoops color to white). By adding some Deep Ebony in the mix, it will up the amount of white you will need. A sample mix might look something like 1Deep Ebony:1Buttery Gold:about 6 white(maybe more). I can help you adjust once you get a look at how the colors look on your skin.
If I had to pick....I would think Buttery Gold over Warm Gold.....
