Larger jars or refill baggie option for some products?
Larger jars or refill baggie option for some products?
Wish list suggestion:
I would like to see larger jars or refill baggies as an ordering option for some products.
The one I am thinking of is Unblush. It is in a concealer size jar. BUT I use this an every day primer under foundation. It never looks chalky or greenish no matter how heavy I apply it. It can also be used over foundation but I prefer Date Bait as a finisher. (Or maybe Love Lure....I will post once I have tried this.)
The way I think of Unblush is tinted Silk Perfection powder. The tint is not obvious but it does nuetralize redness well. My foundation lasts longer when I use Unblush and also I get a smoother application.
Anyhow, I am a big fan of Unblush.
Great idea for a this forum.

Re: Larger jars or refill baggie option for some products?
Ahh yes great suggestion, I too would love to see larger options for some refills. I went crazy and ordered 5 refill baggies of white foundation for my mom and I (before the price increase).
I did some research on other mineral makeup sites and I do like that karen's price for the one tablespoon of refill = 5.50$. Converting tablespoon of product into weight is aprox 14grams. (ok well almost 15 but I dont know the exact number my heart). So I guess the reason I wrote the above is to say thank you karen for such great affordable prices. Other companies sell 14gram of product starting at 12-18$......

Re: Larger jars or refill baggie option for some products?
Yea...I guess thr should b some options abt the size of the product...
Maybe other than the refills for the foundation for thgs like the finishing powders & such should hv the option
of a small 5g,10g,20g or a refill bag size...After all not everyone wants to collect endless amt of jars at home...
And its a waste to throw them away too.

you guys should never throw them away! I collect them..you could take out the sifter, clean it, and put hand cream in it..it works very well when you only carry a little purse! I do agree refill baggies should be implemented plus I think its cheaper for shipping!
Re: Larger jars or refill baggie option for some products?
I collect the jars and re-use them however yes it would be nice if refill baggies would be available. Thinking of the perfecting powder, date bait especially.
Re: Larger jars or refill baggie option for some products?
I never throw out jars. The smaller jars make great travel and or purse sizes.
Re: Larger jars or refill baggie option for some products?
I recycle jars, too ~ great for enabling purposes
& for mixing trial blends of whatever!
Absolutely agree, though, with the refill baggie option! I actually use 12gm shaker jars for things like foundation, AOFC, blushes & the like. I LOVE the 12gm shaker jars! They're sooooooo cute all lined up around a turntable (lazy susan) ~ I spin & choose,LOL!
HINT,HINT...need 12gm shaker jars,too,hehehehehee

I LOVE this idea! I was just thinking: wouldn't it be nice if I could just refill my existing jars...
Karen, maybe this could be an option in the frequent buyer's program that you've been thinking about?

Re: Larger jars or refill baggie option for some products?
I'm totally seconding the larger size & baggie-packed refill proposal.
Aside from encouraging eco-friendly consumer practices and the fact that I now have more empty MMU powder jars of all sizes than I know what to do with, I'm going through the Perfecting Powder so fast it's just ridiculous. A jumbo-size option is needed indeed!
And besides, these neat little plastic containers are WEIGHTY, which translates into seriously painful added premiums in the form of shipping charges for international customers -- and extra jet fuels required to transport them across the globe (only to have them recycled -- or worse, dumped, oceans away --- what for?) In my case, for each unit of Perfecting Powder that I buy, I need to pay around another three more bucks in shipping. Though this doesn't go to Silk Naturals, it still feels like a major price hike.
Bag it, please!
On the other hand, I think it would be great to offer smaller-size options for the various foundation colors. I don't care if Karen sells the smaller sized ones at higher by-weight prices; given my 2-scoops-of-Warm-Gold-to-one-entire-full-unit-of-Ivory mix requirement, I seriously doubt if I can manage to go through the entire full-sized Warm Gold pack within the 2-year recommended shelf life. Given that I've also seen other mix recipes that only call for a minuscule amount of a certain shade, I think there's a need for that.

I emailed Karen about the smaller sizes for foundation colors and she replied saying that she agrees but doesn't know when those will be on the site yet. I am waiting for those before ordering my refills =)BeaT wrote: On the other hand, I think it would be great to offer smaller-size options for the various foundation colors.
