I just absolutely love the amethyst liner. It's STUNNING. I'm cool toned with blue eyes and it's simply the hottest eyeliner I've ever used, and paired with lavender e/s it's my new HG eye look! Just ordered a full size

Was pleasantly surprised with the staying power, too. I never managed to set it with the perfecting powder as recommended without smudging the whole line, and actually on my eyes it lasts longer
without the powder on top, lol. Anyway, I recommend amethyst <3
PS It would be so cool if there were samples for all liner colours, I'm dying to try Mahogany, Espresso & Tarnish (although Amethyst will always stay my #1

) but can't afford to buy them all in a fullsize. Sorry if this has already been asked

I agree. I wish I could try out Mahagony as a sample. How cool is it, though, that we can just *ask* for a color, and karen does her best to dupe it????

I think you can still get samples of the eyeliners, no?
Amethyst rocks if you're cool-toned and have blue or blue-green eyes. So does mahogany. I'm pale and black is way too harsh on me, and dark brown mattes wash me out and age me horribly - it's amazing how something that small can really change your appearance. Mahogany's got a bit of gold to warm it up - it doesn't look sparkly on, but it's just enough to make the difference. Try a sample of both it and espresso and you may see what I mean - or I could be the only one it happens to. I can't wear Truffle for the same reason, but Bittersweet and Mink are great on me.
Tarnish isn't so bad, either

Rhys-
So far we have not done samples of the original colors of Cream Liner, only the most recent four. I am sure when Karen sees the requests, she will do her best to accomodate!!!

Rhys, you mean the 'old' liners? I couldn't find any samples of them neither through the menu nor the search function. They might just have been sent out as free samples when they came out?
You are so right about one little thing being able to change a lot (for good or bad). I still can't believe what a difference this eyeliner makes to my eyes, I think I'm going to wear it everyday now, it seriously makes me feel pretty and good looking, and that's a GINORMOUS achievement

. And although it is purple it doesn't look unnatural or overly made up at all, as with all Karen's makeup. I just don't know how she does it. I'd even go out partying with Fearless lippie, just give me a couple more weeks to build up more confidence ^^ I would never have ordered it on my own but got a sample and it's just so beautiful and classy despite being that bright a colour... sorry for OT
And I can imagine mahogany being great! : ) On second thought though, it might not work that well for me.. I'm the opposite of you, I can wear dark browns and also black (although I'm a little pale, too

), but have to be careful with gold in liners and e/s. I've got Chocolate Twinkle which is a bit too warm, Basalt however is really cool (muaha, the ambiguity) as a liner or even as part of a smokey eye. Still I'm so curious to try it ^^ Because you never know? It might look unexpectedly great

Anyway, really looking forward to the new eye makeup products! Rock Chick sounds VERY appealing : )
EDIT: Sorry Jen, have overlooked your reply

Thanks for clarifying! : )

No problem Miyu!
I would say that Mahogany is very similar to Chocolate Twinkle, and Espresso is very similar to Basalt. Still, the cream liners go on in a more intense way than a powdered liner does. It might work just fine for you. Mahogany is one of my favorites, just behind Amethyst (which I absolutely adore, too!) I must say I am looking forward to the teal and blue liners mentioned above, too.

Okay,
I am now convinced I have to have Poly next time I order! As well as Amethyst.
Mahogany is a must have for me. I had to order another to keep at my honey's (oops, fiance's-been saying honey for awhile now). Although I am pretty pale and on the coolish side, I get more compliments when I wear it.
Jen, please explain how you top the liner with a shadow without making a mess. I'm such a klutz and have visions of big, thick lines if I do this. The only way I've been able to do a thin line is with the dual eye brush(It is easy to hold parallel to my lashes). Do you have time to do an application for dummies (that would be me!) describing which brushes you used?
Thanks!

For setting with Perfecting Powder, I use our foiling brush
http://www.silknaturals.com/creb/produc ... cts_id=124. I just lightly sweep powder over the top.
For adding a powdered mineral color over the liner to set, I usually just use whatever brush I was lining with. I shake some eyeshadow into a small dish (I think I got it at World Market- it looks like a small Asian saucer) and just dip my liner brush in it. If I am less lazy, I grab a clean liner brush, but it doesn't always happen that way.

One good brush for 'overlining' is a taklon filbert from the craft store in a size 2.
