I have to give another awesome rave about this product. I'm still applying it dry since I am too lazy to make a wet version. But I'm so satisfied with dry application. Today, I'm having one of those sort of bad hormonal skin days, and I didn't think this vegan version would have enough coverage. But I was happily surprised that it provided good coverage while still looking natural. And I can't praise enough how light it feels on the skin. When I use a thick or thin moisturizer, my skin is fine and looks smooth, but when I usually use foundation, the flakiness starts to show (even if I've been on a salicylic acid regime for many many months). I didn't have such a huge flake problem when using this foundation dry. And I feel confident enough to pull my hair back. Please..oh please make this a mainstay foundation.

I've also been too lazy to try the foundation wet, but I am loving it dry. This week, the weather has been warm--70's to even 80's (it's South Carolina--fairly normal!), but this foundation did great. My makeup still looked great by evening. Usually with the heat, I need to blot, but not this one. I've also had migraines this week, as well as fighting a cold/sinus infection, basically feeling crappy, but my makeup has surprisingly looked wonderful.

Yes, please make this one a keeper! My skin always gets dry in the winter months, and I think this will be wonderful. :D

I've been loving this too. I use it wet because it provides me with way more coverage that way. I used less of it with the damp brush too.

I really don't use much mineral base anymore because I just get better coverage with liquid foundation. This is fantastic though! Finish is really lovely, and all my redness and blemishes are covered. And, the best part is that my skin doesn't feel or look dry which seems to happen with every other mineral base I try. Love it! I hope it sticks around for good! :D

So, thrilled with the results of the SN gumball applied wet, I decided to try the same exact technique with a powdered mineral foundation from another company to see if it would increase the coverage. The results were a huge disaster! It looked the same in the bowl, but on my face I could literally see the brush strokes. It looked like a total mess...and I had somewhere to be, not cool! I had to let it dry, then buff the crap out of it to make the lines go away, and it still looked a bit strange!

Karen, I have no clue what magical goodness you've put in your wet base to make it apply so creamy, smooth, and even, but you've really created a stellar formula! It goes on just as nicely as a high end liquid foundation, but with the air brushed finish of a mineral makeup, and the lightness of one too, instead of the pore clogging feel of a liquid. And the coverage is unbelievable... I think you will be selling it in large quantities once you release it!

I've tried it wet and dry, and I really love it, for all the reasons stated above. I have also somehow managed to get a much better colour match than my last batch of the regular foundation (which I think was too dark as I was going by my summer colour, and I am all pasty after winter, lol).
So definitely bring it out permenantly!

I was wondering if your package had made it to NZ yet so you could give it a go! I noticed that getting a color match was easier too... The pigments seemed to blend so well and so easily with the foundation, its like it softens the color in a way, everything melds together so well it shows in the finished product. Hard to describe, but it makes things easier to match!

I noticed this as well--I just thought I got lucky with my blend this time! I haven't done any tweaking with this one, as I usually do with each batch. Another bonus! :D

Does anyone have any objections to it? When I first made it, it seemed like it needed a tweak of something (I'm like that though- I'll tweak formulas for weeks), but it's grown on me too.

It has a pretty vocal following- but feel free to speak up if it's not your cup of tea. It's better to know now than later....

I have to say that I really like it. I do notice the difference between this formula and the Original in finish (I don't think this one smooths the skin quite as well), but my dry winter skin will be very happy with this version!
