Another vote for clear tubes!

I am just a little OCD.... I store my lippies standing up in alpha order so I can find the one I want quick. I use a fine sharpie to put an abbreviation on the top of the lid.

I can't tell you how amused my fiance was when he saw that my need for organization was not only evident in my closet, sock draw and fabric hoarding, but in my make up stash too. lol

My hats off to you, lady!
I only go as far as arranging my items - be it shirts, bras or lippies - by color and group by color family. Sometimes (rarely though), I like to get surprised and wear the first lippie that comes into my hands from the specific family.

Right now I fumble through them all trying to read all the labels, lol. So it would make it a lot quicker for me. But of course you'd need clear labels too, cauz otherwise it ruins the point of having clear tubes.
Yes, this is exactly it. So much easier to just look at the colors instead of reading the labels!

I agree. Especially when the ink has worn off from the labels ;) You should see my frantic morning "which lippie is this? / where is my ___?" jig.

On the more aesthetic side of things, lippies in clear tubes would look so pretty all sitting in my clear jar.

Yes waaay back when we had some of the clear tubes that we were going to use for something.

The reason we use black tubes is that they keep the product fresher for longer. We use some oils that have a fair amount of vitamins in it, and they degrade in sunlight. Something like Vitamin A is toast in about 24 hours after it's exposed to daylight.

That, and the clear tubes don't fit in the custom made jigs we have.
