I love to play in color, lol. I don't use any e/s primer like UDPP or anything like that...no need. I am 54 w/dry skin & ahem..aging issues. SN is VERY kind to my skin *&* the e/s do *not* accentuate the crinklies of my lids, nor do they ever change. I am TOTALLY addicted to this line
. When I want 'serious', I pull out ANY group of e/s from the Stonewashed Nudes pallette & go for it ~ & line with the Basalt, in that case. Any other time, anything goes...SN can look subtle no matter what shades are chosen for the day. One trick that I learned for my aging eyes
is for e/s base color, I can use *any* light shade & just apply it with a natural hair blush brush. (I use only synthetic brushes anymore, as a rule, BUT a natural hair brush picks up less in the way of minerals so gives a very sheer wash of color..which is how I want a background.) Then I go ahead & do my eyemakeup with the synthetics. Can't go wrong, in my opinion with any of Karen's colors ~ & I *especially* love the new Charmed with Lush(Humid clone) in the outer < >....& lined with Moss. GREAT greens!

I am finding that I love more colored choices for eyeliner. My eyes are pretty dark and a little deep set. Sometimes a crease color only makes them look deeper. Therefore, I started playing with the 'louder' eyeliners. So far some faves are Emerald, Sapphire, and Bewitched. Any of these looks great with Cashmere, Bare, Nekkid, or the like. I love Vanilla as a highlighter just below my eyebrow. I have lots more playing to do, but will add more later!

Here's one I've been getting lots of compliments on today:
Charmed on the outer two-thirds of my lid, from lashline to up over the socket a bit. Then Honey on the outer two-thirds above that, up to the browbone. On the inner third, and near the tear duct - Sprite. Lined with Sprite for some lightness, then went over it with Charmed, and Foreplay for a lippie.
Really, it's very pretty!

Okay - today's would've should've - Naughty on the lid to just up over the socket (I've got deep-set hooded eyes, so essentially crease-less here), Wink Wink from where the Naughty leaves off up to the browbone, and to bring it all together, Bewitched as both a top liner and regular liner (that bit might not work at a conservative office, but it really hightlights the purple in Naughty).
Damsel for a lippie, and Flirt for blush in keeping with the oh-so-cool look

Today was Cashmere on inner half of lid, played with Naughty on outer half, Bittersweet/Plush in < >, lined with an old fave. Angel was highlight above pupil, around tear duct, on browbone. Wish You Were Here was blush, Damsel & Ashley were layered as lippie.

I wear a different brand for foundation, concealer, and finisher but on an all SN day (or everyday regarding pigments):
Foundation: 10/1/.5 base/buttery/warm
Perfecting Powder
Sassy Blush (also love cocoberry)
Gold Blush Kisser Slicker
Vanilla to the brow
Quartzite over lid
Luxe in the V crease
Bittersweet to Line
I wear those pigments almost every day that I wear makeup and love Love LOVE Silk Naturals.

Yesterday was the StoneWashedNudes Pallette's chance to shine. Love how they are so ho-hum & unassuming in their jars but that when brought together on eyes, there is something pizzazzy about them! Vino blush, Rapture on lips topped w/Breathless.

You look lovely, Mikie!
I have been a little under the weather and all this talk of eyeshadow makes me want to play!!! I think you are right. We need a notebook!

The notebook's for Better Order Colors, lol! I have been at using minerals for quite a few years & have an astounding collection *but* there is NO end in sight to collecting colors. I realized this weekend that there are color families I've neglected
when buying SN ~ will rectify ASAP!
TRIED to post last night, sigh, but the boards must've been under maintenance. In honor of St.Paddy's Day, of course I pulled out the greens:
Pixie was light wash as base, Charmed inner half of lid, Grassroots Green on outer half, Lush in < > & drylined top & outer 3rd of bottom. Bare was highlight above pupil, on browbone, tear duct area. Vino blush, Infatuation Kisser Slicker.
Rhys, if you're reading, I will fluff *for* you today! Prayers sent ~ it will be *fine*!
