I'm sorry I've been a bit MIA- we went to visit my sister, and it turned out to be a bit longer of a weekend than I intended, but it was fun. I'm hoping you all had a great weekend too!

Nope- you don't need a vinegar rinse with the cleansing conditioner. Generally the vinegar rinse helps when you've used soap with a high pH, and it restores the acid mantle to your hair and scalp. With the cleansing conditioner the pH is closer to neutral so it should just leave your hair soft without needing the vinegar. If you have really hard water, and feel a buildup from the minerals you might want to do a vinegar rinse every once in a while though.

It can take a few weeks for your hair to get used to the cleansing conditioner- and during that time it can feel a bit greasy, but after your hair is used to it you should be able to go 2-3 days between cleansings.

@Ghost- you're too funny! I feel the need to have a magic wand- I could really use it this time of year!!

Are the Citrus Spice Body Butter and Spicy Citrus Organic Lip Balm scented with the same essential oils blend?

Is the Peppermint Foot Scrub the same formulation as last year?

Will the Argan & Goji Berry Moisturizer be added to the skincare recommendations chart? From its description, I can't pinpoint for what type of skin it was formulated.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions!
trixiejim: Yes, the All Purpose Foundation can be applied wet as well as dry. (I have to keep reminding myself that All Purpose Foundation is the website name for the Wet/Dry Foundation.) See application tips in this thread as well as reviews in this thread.

Questions for Karen:

They're pretty much the same blend- there's a little minor difference, but if you like one you'll like the other.

Yes, it's the same.

Doh! I'll update the chart this week. Originally I intended it for more mature skin, but it's just a nice rich moisturizer. The air gets so dry in the winter that it's formulated to protect from the elements. It has about 15% oil- which is quite a bit. The oils that I used shouldn't cause breakouts, but test it if you're acne prone because the emulsifier is a bit heavy too.

Karen, and all the other lovely ladies, thanks so much for your responses about a vinegar rinse and the conditioner hair cleanser! :)

Question about the cleansing conditioner:

I have long hair. Like down-to-my-butt long hair. When I use things like Suave or VO5 conditioners to wash my hair, I end up needing a lot - a 15 oz bottle will get me 4-6 washes.

Has anyone else with really long hair tried this? If it works with the amount specified, I might try it. If I'd need half the bottle, it wouldn't be worth it - though I'd love a good, mostly natural option.

Hi Emily, I haven't used Karen's conditioner yet but I did spent a good few years doing the conditioner only method as I had fairly fine hair and lots of it, reaching down to my unmentionable. ;) My hair is typically oily and needs washed everyday no matter what I do. It'd be flyaway if it was shorter. I found that using a "cone-free" conditioner, I'd only have to use it on the scalp and first couple inches of hair (crown) and thoroughly massage it in. Then rinse it under the shower for a good couple of minutes. That allowed enough of the conditioner to slide down to clean through the length (canopy) of my hair as water ran through my hair. If my hair was messy from having picked up dust or airborne muck / pollution, etc, I only needed maybe an extra half application amount compared to the amount I need to use now with choppy shoulder length hair. I hope that helps encourage you that, depending upon hair type, you probably won't need to make a full application to the full length of your hair, just the scalp.

I got my order today! I so had to go use the new conditioner. I can't wait to see what it does for my hair.

Karen, do you have any plans to offer this in larger sizes?
