SN Masks = a dream come true

I gave my face a pampering on Friday night and did an at-home facial. After washing my face with KISS, I exfoliated with the Banana Pineapple Smoothie mask (I loved the tightening feeling as it dried!) and after washing that off, I steamed my face gently then deep-cleaned with the Green Goddess Mask (so tingly and wonderful!). I then extracted some blackheads with an extracting tool, and dabbed those spots with some diluted tea tree oil, finishing off with the pumpkin mask to calm and smooth my face and a lot of the lovely Hemp Moisturizer and Holy Crow for my eye area.
My skin felt soooo wonderful! I'm clearly a mask-addict and I love both the idea of the powdered masks (no need for preservatives, less packaging needed, lower shipping costs), as well as the execution. Out of all the masks I've tried (including LUSH's fresh masks), these are by far my favorite. I already put in my order for quite a few more of these masks, but I was wondering if a plan is in the works to release the mask powders in larger sizes than just the baggies that hold 1-2 masks?

I just tried the Banana Smoothie mask. If you like the smell of Banana Bread cooking, you'll love this! I mixed mine with plain water and painted it on as a paste. It dried in about ten mins and took quite a bit of rinsing to clean it away. My skin was glowing! It felt slightly smoother, most noticeable on my forehead which is struggling with an imbalance of oily / flakey bits. I had quite a flushed pink glow, too. It's a nice mask (I know 'nice' isn't a helpful descriptive word, but it is just right for a brief pamper). It would be interesting to see if there could be another version of this, perhaps with papaya and pineapple? I'm not fond of the smell of bananas, but that's a personal quirk of preference and not enough to put me off using this mask again. It's effective and gentle. It works very well.

Is it normal to get blemishes when first using a mask? I've used the pumpkin mask twice and I feel like it's bringing whiteheads to the surface. Does this mean it's working (and will help with continued use) or that it's irritating my skin?

I think that means that the mask is working, zeebs.

Hopefully it means it's working...yogurt has lactic acid in it- so it's a very very mild AHA. Usually people don't react that way to it, but with the change in the weather it may be bringing some gunk to the surface. With most AHA's purging tends to last a week or 2- and then you get gorgeous, glowing skin.
There may be a plan to do some bigger sizes...I've noticed that people tend to order them by the handful, so I'm guessing that bigger sizes will be necessary pretty soon (although not this week or next...).

i love the masks. all of karen's skin care has a stroke of genius. powdered masks...it's such a good idea. my favorite is the pumpkin, but i love the pineapple banana and the oatmeal one too. i work long shifts in the hospital (30 hours on call) and then i come home and crash, so when i wake up my skin is dehydrated, dull, and tired looking. i used these the last few days and my skin looks so much more alive after leaving it on only a few minutes.
