I read online that red raspberry seed oil has an spf of 28-50 (WOW!)..is our raspberry moisturizer made from this oil? And also, what % of the moisturizer is the oil vs. the sodium pca? (this question make not make sense since I don't really know how the moisturizer is forumulated, but it can't be 100% oil)

It is the same- at least the latin names match-up. I can only find the abstract of the article online...and I'd love to read the full article to see what methods they were using for testing. The next time I'm in town I'll stop into Cornell's library and see if I can grab a copy of it.

The thing with SPF values is that any little change in a formula can change the SPF rating and there isn't a direct formula to say x% of something= xxSPF- so I use the raspberry oil because it's lovely, and it's great if it has some SPF, but I still use the zinc powder because I'm paranoid about the sun.
