High Shine gloss (like a lipglass)

I would so love if Silk Naturals would make a high shine sticky lip gloss that did not contain parabens or other nasties. TKB trading sells a product called versagel which is a synthetic base for making these, and I have made myself a few, but it is kind of messy. The versagel 'recipe', although not natural, gets a really good rating on the cosmetic safety database.
If you made these Karen I would buy hundreds, I am a lip gloss addict and have never found a high shine lip gloss that doesn't contain a whole lot of nasty stuff, and that uses minerals to tint rather than dyes!
Thanks :)
Lily

Welcometo the forum! Versagel is eeeeevil isn't it?? I want something like that...the sticky lipglass, but more plant based. I know the Versagel has a good safety profile...but, I know there's a French company that makes something that's supposed to be excellent, and I'm hoping that someone will start importing it soon.

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! I did some research last night, and it seems that someone DOES import it! They're sending me samples....I have no idea whether it will work, or anything about it, but it's on it's way to me.

Well....finally something went my way this week. The samples will be in late next week, and they haven't given me much tech data...so it may be a little while before I come up with something that's stable. But there is another surprise or two soon...

Yay, I am checking the site daily for new gumballs :D
What is in this stuff, by the way? I trust you with regards to choosing good and as safe as possible ingredients, but I like to do my research :D
Cheers,
Lily

I'm just curious what came of this. This thread is old, so I probably missed whatever did happen, so hoping someone can fill me in.

I never heard anything back. I think I asked Karen again at some point, and also didn't hear back, so maybe she just got busy? Maybe she decided against it?

I hadn't come to a conclusion on them before we moved...and that pretty much took up most of January, February, and really a lot of this month too (I just spent the last week in the old shop trying to get it ready for the new tenant). I tried a few things, but didn't get anything really earth shattering. Lippies are pretty much the most difficult thing to formulate because they have to function in a lot of different ways. They take me months to get just right. It's part of why I like making them- it's immensely challenging.

It's on the list, but it's farther down on the list at the moment mainly because I'm out of ideas as to how to get it to work. I'm guessing I'll get back to playing with it sometime this Spring or Summer.
