Recommend me some products please :)

Hiya, I'm now waiting for my first order to come, and I thought I might place another one to make the waiting easier (I'm in the UK and international shipping takes ages) :P .

To be honest, I'm quite clueless about make up... Could you please recommend me

- some eye shadows (normally I just use a brown or dark grey gel liner and want to use eye-shadows too! I can't really do blending yet, I'm learning to define the outter V) - I don't like matte much, prefer nice and shimmery shadows that I can use as a wash (I've noticed there's a one-colour wash category and the colours look all great, I don't know which ones would look best on me?)

- lip glosses/lipsticks

- blushes

I have ordered Infatuatuation and the foundation sample kit (JenW has already suggested Warm Gold for me).

Thanks a lot!!

Here's a picture of me (in fact my eye are a bit lighter, dark green with brown around the pupil)

I recommend keeping it simple for eyes. Purr and Vinyard would be good choices to start with for eyes in the non-brown or non-gray category.

For blush try Satisfied and Stardust.

For lippies......Maiden and Breathless.

Hi Jen, thanks a lot, all the things you've suggested look so pretty, I've added them all to my wishlist :P . I've never actually used a peachy pink blush before, so I'm excited to try that!

Would you have any suggestion when it comes to neutrals please? I didn't express myself clearly (edited the post now) - I have nothing about browns, it's just teh brown eye liner that's a bit boring on its own. And there are way too many browns to choose from! Thanks!

Ahh....

For the best browns......Brown Sugar and Soiree. Or anything in the Elegant Brown Quad.

The Mixed Metals Palette also has some wonderful neutrals. They are all sold seperately, too. I know that does not help with narrowing it down...at all!

Thanks ;) I've just seen the Party Quad and it also looks absolutely gorgeous.. I want to keep my orders relatively small in order to avoid customs, how am I going to decide?

Hi Jen, I just wanted to say thanks for your recommendations :P . I think Vineyard is the prettiest e/s I've ever owned (I think that and a bit of e/l and mascara will be my everyday look from now on) and Breatless is so nice too!
Maiden and Purr are next on my list!
Sadly, I don't think I can wear Stardust - I think it's too pink for me (you can't really see it from the picture but I have tiny freckles on my cheeks). I ordered Cosmic some time ago but am thinking of Satisfied or maybe Climax :)

And your fooundation recommendation was a spot-on (1:14 olive) - I really can't understand how you can guess the exact ratio!

Anywya, thanks for all your help! ;)

I am glad all of those things are working for you. I find Stardust a tad pink, too. I will wear it as long as I am in a pink mood, though. Climax works for me, but I like Satisfied better. I do use a fiber optic brush to apply Satisfied, where a traditional blush brush worked for me with Climax.

As for the foundation 'guessing', I think it started when nothing in traditional makeup ever matched me and I had very sensitive skin...both led me to mineral makeup. It also helps that it took me forever to find a match in another popular mineral makeup line, so I saw nearly half of the colors they offered in all undertones. I do have a weird affinity for detecting slight variations in hue, too. And I have played quite a bit with our product. Just like anything, it is a series of events that get you to one particular point in life. It also helps that your skin looks very much like mine. ;)
