So as you can see,I'm super pale and have reddish hair(I hate having my picture taken). My lips are also not very full...so I can't really do matte colors.

I'm not sure what would look flattering on me,I kind of have a more indie style.Dark colors make my lips look even tinier. I wear mostly greens, black, yellow.I also do my eyes up heavily smoked with purples, black, greens, and golds. Not sure if that makes a difference.

But,my boyfriend wants me to start fixing myself up more...and I'd love some help choosing some SN lippies! :?

How funny, my DH prefers me without makeup because I look more "me" then...though when I do take the time to do something special with all the lovely colors I have, I get compliments followed by "So, wanna go out somewhere?" It's my secret weapon for when I don't feel like cooking dinner.

I have pretty light skin and my hair is normally red (though it's naturally light ash brown). I love to play up my eyes so I usually stick to more subtle lip colors, plus my lips are a slightly unbalanced shape (thinner on the sides on the top lip) and dark colors tend to accentuate that, so I avoid them unless I feel like messing with lip liner.

Others more familiar with a wider range of SN lippies may have better suggestions, but here's my go at it:

Gold Blush was the fist SN lippie I bought, I still love it, it's very subtle with pretty gold sparkles. You could try Mimosa (peach golden shimmer) or Precious (pink golden shimmer). The shimmer in them both make my lips look plump and the colors aren't bright on my lips. Same with Gleaming (gold shimmer) and Sparkle (white shimmer). They are great over some of the lippies I've ordered in the past that were too bright or the wrong tone, plus they work well on their own for just a boost of shimmer with no color. Sparkle makes my lips look plumper and more balanced than any of the others, I adore it! I like Caramel and Centerfold too, they have a glossy sheen but aren't shimmery. They make great nude lip colors though! Sweet Nothing is my "darker" color if I want something cooler than the others, it's sheer enough not to overpower my lips. Hope that helps!

I also love Caramel. And I was wondering about Tender? Oh, and Frolic!

I think you would look lovely in Rare Berry. It's a more opaque color than Precious or Gold Blush (totally agree with superwahz on those), and have a pretty raspberry tint. When you do that though, you may wanna ease up on the eyes a bit, could be too much together. And of course, I think Centerfold is a good one for just about anybody: depending on your lip color, it could be anywhere from a nudish to slightly brighter pink, but not barbie at all. You need a good red though, that in itself would dress you up. Perhaps Hot Blooded?

Start with a few to see how they look like on your lips, so you have a good idea on what you're looking for. We all went through the 'I can't believe that lippie looks pink on you, it doesn't show up for me!' phase. You may or may not be able to pull off browns or pinks or reds or golds or sparkles, but it's good to keep an open mind. I ended up loving Raisin when I randomly ended up with a sample, without which I would have never considered it.

Black Dahlia! I think something about having red hair makes it so that you can do smokey eyes and a deep plummy red and still not look like a clown.

Also totally agree on Centerfold. It's a sexy pouty nude pink. Precious is a good place to start to see how gold shimmer looks on you.

LOL! That's brilliant. Mine doesn't like makeup either. He kind of frowns and says, "That's not my Emma." But a cute dress and it's time to hit the town. ;)

I think I'll start off with Centerfold and ease into other colors. I'm not used to lip color

Ah,I hope I didn't make my boyfriend sound bad LOL. He's just trying to help me become more comfortable being feminine so I can feel confidant when we go to nice places.I'm bad at wording things. :P

Thanks guys! I'm super excited for my next paycheck now!

Rare berry is kind of pinkish on me, I think it might clash with red hair. I would think Mimosa would be pretty much perfect for a barely there look, it is very sheer so difficult to get wrong. I think sweet nothing would be gorgeous with red hair too, it is deep but sheer, so you can wear a little or a lot, depending on the look you are going for.
I am a blonde, so I don't have that many inspirations! But I think you couldn't really go wrong with those two.

Oh, and I wish that my dh liked me wearing makeup, he doesn't care one way or the other, but if I ask him anything about a colour I am wearing or anything he just tunes out. He also hates it if I take more than about 5 minutes to get ready :P

Rare Berry is pink on me too, like rose pink, it looked bad with my red hair. Though, as I said before, lippie colors and I are a weird mix...so...

Mimosa, Centerfold, and Sweet Nothing would be a nice trio. Each is different enough from the other that they'd be worth a go before getting into the more pink, red, brown, and orange shades. :D

Have you tried Black Dahlia?? I have my eye on it. I can do plums much better than I can do reds and have been looking for a darker plum color!

I almost never wear dresses, didn't even wear one for our wedding...so when I put one on boy does that get attention!
