It started snowing yesterday...no problem. We stayed home, I roasted a chicken, and snuggled up to watch some Netflix. It was still snowing when we went to bed, but this is Upstate NY. It snows here, and I'm generally proud of the way we deal with it. Roads get plowed, and things are relatively normal even on a snowy day.

I woke up this morning to a text from Val. All of the roads in Tompkins County, and a few of the surrounding counties are CLOSED this morning. Generally they just say something like "no unnecessary travel" but this time they shut them down completely.

Aaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhhh. Seriously Mother Nature?? Seriously???

We'll be shipping orders from the weekend tomorrow. I'm so sorry for the delay.

Anyone have any ideas for contests? We used to have them pretty regularly, but I'm out of ideas!

No contest ideas from me. But I seriously hear you on the snow. Come on mother nature it was 70 degrees on Saturday, we are supposed to get 4-7 inches of snow to night? What the heck, it isn't even April yet, so this can't be a cruel April fools joke,oops wait a minute I forgot that you dear mother nature have been known to bless us with blizzards on April fools day.

I'm ready for spring!!!!

Ugh- I hear you too! It was 51 on Saturday- I had a yard. Life was good. Now this. I can't say I'm surprised because it's fairly typical for this time of year, but the road closing made me grumble a bit.

I have a cute idea. I know a blogger does this but not a makeup one. A when is he snow going to be gone contest. Pick a spot outside the office and take a picture. When there is no more snow in the picture than someone wins. Maybe you could do a special, Snow is gone color or some thing springy and give it to the winner free and put it as a LE for people to buy.

I think that is a great idea, there are some really huge piles of the "stuff" around.
