lipgloss sealant

Would it be possible to create a sealant that's not laiden with chemicals and weird stuff that would keep my lipgloss from transferring? Maybe I just layer it on too thick, but even after biting the tissue, there is a considerable amount on the drinking glass or mug or eating utensil. The color actually stays on my lips for a while longer, I just get a bit grossed out every time I look at my glasses/mugs and keep wiping them
Like a clear liquid gloss, maybe?

Or anyone have suggestion on how long I should wait after applying before I bite/drink? I never really think of that, but if that helps, I'll try to wait :)

Thinking about it briefly- it would be tricky to keep it all natural. Anything water soluble is out, anything fat soluble is out- so that leads into some of the odder parts of chemistry. The one that I had years and years ago was alcohol soluble and it stung quite a bit. This was before I was old enough to drink, so I'm not sure how it would have held up to a glass of wine, but it did work if I put on enough coats.

I get grossed out by it too- and I have a habit of wiping my lippie off when I sit down to the table. It completely ruins the effect, but it keeps me from eating lippie (not harmful, but it's a pet peeve of mine). The lip stains have been handy :)

The stains are definitely helping, I just have to re-apply the top gloss (colored or just balm) and not lose all the effect of having colors on my lips.

I don't mind sting or any other hurt: if it stays, that's all I care about :)
