stackable jars

Post by Die Marchen » Tue May 17, 2011 7:07 am

Hello all!

I have a suggestion to add stackable jars to the shop. It is very convenient.
My first mineral makeup was in a 7pc sample stacker. I have attached a pic.
Some samples were nice, some not, but the stacker is perfect! But I am using mine for 3 years and it is quite worn.
Recently I saw that there is a 4 pc stacker - it also could be a great option - to shop a collection at once. (for example Harry Potter collection) or alone.

Imho it would be great to be able to buy such empty jars to fill them with favorite shadows or other powders. + empty labels :-) to label powders. As once in a hurry I have covered the whole face with the concealer and put a ton of foundation under eyes. I did it in the cabin, the light was not perfect, and I have learnt about it some time later. That was funny as I was with my husband and mother-in-law and they are kind to me. Actually they thought it was my new makeup experiment and were looking for kind words to tell me it was not nice.

There are views, but no answers... Ladies, do you think it is a useless idea?

I would love to have stackable jars, either with whole collections in them, or empty with generic labels. If thery were just labeled foundation, concealor, etc. that would be ok.

because of the way that i store my makeup (with magnets on the backs of my closet shelves and closet doors), I would not purchase in stackable jars and would be a little bit annoyed having them in stackable jars. I do own other brands of mineral makeup in stackable jars, and i use them less often. For traveling, i can see how it might be convenient, but stackable jars don't hang well for the way that i store my makeup, and I don't buy them given the choice. I find they get a little unstable over 5-10 jars and i have close to 300 jars so i wouldn't want to keep 30-60 "towers" on a shelf either.

I know a lot of ladies store their makeup sideways in drawers, similar to stackables, but I think it's still easier to pull out the one jar that way than to have to pull out a whole tower/stick.

They do work, they are sturdy, and they are convenient for traveling, but I prefer individual jars.

When I replied that I would like the stackable jars, it would be for travel only. Like many others, I store my makeup on it's side, so they wouldn't be practical for everyday use, but great for travel.

I do have a set of 3 stackable jars.
That I don't stack them up.
I like having my jars placed horizontally or on their sides and with a quick flip over, to view their names on the other side.

I did think I'd use them for travelling. But since my makeup items go into a bag or small case, I've never really seen the need to stack up those jars. Idk. Just not a force of habit I guess.

Abbamart does have cheap stackable cosmetic jars and pretty reasonable shipping if you're looking for more.

I might actually have some kicking around the shop- I know I have a box of the 30 gram stackers, but I'm not sure about the other ones. Every once in a while I hit the wrong button when I make the jar order, and we end up with a box of them.

I'll go up to the warehouse one of these days and check.

Personally I love the idea of the little ones, but every time I've played with them it seemed a bit uneventful. There isn't really a way to label them on the bottom so I've always set them aside, and thought- maybe one day I'll figure something out with them.

Thank you for the replies, ladies!

And, Aud, my special thanks for the link!

Every summer I spend about a month or more moving to a new place everyday and though it is what I like it becomes a makeup and wardrobe disaster. I have tried many different packaging styles both for clothes and makeup. And if clothes still haven't got its best decision, stackable jars is the best way to deal with powders. I can't stand the temptation to take most of my makeup with me as I make 99% of my pics on these summer trips and need to save powders from the mess.

As for labeling - my one had labels at the bottoms.

Thanks again! I will get that little jars from the links and it will solve my problems!
