Natural looking lid brightening shadow?

Hi,
Looking for a little e/s help here. I have dark brown hair, brown eyes w/green and gold swirls and light/medium olivey skin. I'm just about to turn 39, and while my skin is in ok shape for my age, I'm not at all interested in being too shimmery and sparkly. I love the finish of the suede eyeshadows. Bone (which is matte) looks good on me as an overall brightener, and I like Boom as well.
What I'm really looking for is a lid color that will brighten the eye area. I have smallish deep set eyes and dark colored e/s overwhelms the area. I tried Bailey for that purpose and it comes out just a bit too pink on me. Not sure why. I'd love to find something with the tones of Boom with just a bit more deepness. I want to look more awake and polished, but not overly made up. I like neutral, natural colors. Any suggestions? Thanks!
