Eyeshadow help

I got my foundation samples yesterday and I love this foundation!! Took me awhile to figure out what I was but I finally got it, 1 Olive-9 white. Now I am going to make an order for the starter kit. But I needed help chooosing between a couple of eyeshadows. I have dark brown hair hazel (green/brown) eyes and fair-light skin. I was thinking about highbeam, homecoming queen, boom or bristol for a highlight color-all are in the similiar range. But I'm not sure which one would be best for my eye color. Any suggestions would be great?? :D

For you, I vote Highbeam or Homecoming Queen.

I have very similar coloring, and I found Bristol to be to "pink" to work effectively for a highlighter. I love Homecoming Queen and reach for it often.

Thanks for the input! I think I'm going to give homecoming a try. I just tried the sizzle sample tonight and will be getting that one as well ;)

Hi there, just jumping in. I also vote for Homecoming Queen! I am fair to yellow, hazel eyed and hair color changes with the season. (currently Chocolate Cherry colored with blonde and caramel highlights)
I also find Bristol to be *too Pink*, but I also thought Highbeam was too dark as a highlight for me.
I also love Juiced. to me it's like HQ on steroids!
Welcome to the forum,
Laurie

Hi Ladycattat, Thanks for your hazel-eyed recommendations! Homecoming is definitly on my list and I will take your word on juiced-just added it to my wish list. It's so hard to choose between all these beautiful colors, ecspecially since I have not been able to wear eyeshadow due to allergic reactions. But I tried a sample of SN eyeshadow (Sizzle-which I love!) and it didn't bother my eyes at all. I'm thrilled to be able to wear eye shadow again (thanks Karen!) I feel like a little girl in a candy shop :D

I had to play around a bit more with my foundation colors-as my orignal mix was too dark in natural lighting. But I think I've got it right now 1 olive, 1/4 buttery gold and 14 med ivory :)

I'm going to be darker than you, since I am 1 olive , 1/4 yellow , 9 ivory. But like Laurie said, Juiced is definately homecoming queen on steroids.
