Neutral Medium to Dark Tone Lid Color

I am looking for a lid color that works well with and shows up against my medium yellow/olive/beige skin. I have ordered more neutral to warm colors here lately and everything is either too light or too dark.

Too light:
Sweet Tea
Mink (a little too cool and light)
Lurid (a little too cool and light)

Too dark:
Harris
Chocolate Twinkle
Legend

I am looking for something in between those colors in depth and opacity. I was thinking of trying Soiree, Fete, Chic, Quartzite, Bare, and Boom. I am looking for a gold, tan, bronze, and/or copper color.

Please experts, help me find the perfect wear and go color! :D

Bare, Quartzite, and Boom are lighter than Sweet Tea. Chic might be, too.

I will take a look at my colors and get back to this.

Have you tried Hairpin or Spoiler? Both are a little darker than Sweet Tea, but different in tone also-Sweet Tea almost looks pink on me (I'm very warm/olive also). Hairpin definitely has more brown to it. Spoiler has become one of my favorites, it has more of a golden/olive tone to it.

I am not sure exactly what you are looking for but a very underrated gold with an edge is Spellbound from the Christmas 2011 Whisky Tango collection. I wear it all the time and love it. I am fair and yellow toned so obviously it is darker than my skintone, but I think it would look fantastic on girls with darker skintones. Unfortunately my cameraphone doesn't show up true colors or I would show you a swatch, but you could check the site. Hope that helps.

I'm a medium-yellow girl myself (you can find my dorky face in the swatch thread  ) I find these following shadows work AMAZING on me as neutral lid colors.

Quartzite (medium neutral brown-beige/tan shows a "little bit" taupe-ish on me but barely)
Blanket Fort (tan with some mauve and taupe)
Model (pinkish tan with subtle golden sheen)

Some neutrals with a twist.
Fusion (taupe)
Propinquity (mauve with subtle golden sheen, nice for summer pastel theme without looking like 5yo playing with kid's makeup)

I'm not much of a big fan of these colors for neutral lid colors.
Bare (hmmmm a bit too gold and frosty for a neutral)
Teacher's Pet (gold taupe, a bit lighter for a neutral)

I think might work
Bareback (lighter-medium matte brown, UD Naked dupe)
Stag (darker-medium matte brown, UD Buck dupe)
Eu-Taupe-Ia (I'm on the hunt for my perfect taupe, will buy this)

I have had a look. What I did was swatch the things you thought were too dark and Sweet Tea, and tried to look for options in between in the warmer shades since the other two you mentioned were too cool.....

I would look at Hairpin, Fierce, Spoiler, Loaded, and Saddle Up. Maybe Luxe.

Spoiler, Hairpin, Loaded, and Luxe are on the swatch on this page.

Touring would be more golden than Sweet Tea, but probably about the same depth.

Loaded and Saddle Up are on this page, but the colors look a little lighter than they should.

Fierce is here, but it is pretty peachy. Heat is just slightly lighter than Legend.

Wow thanks for the great responses!

I probably should have explained things a little more clearly in my first post just so it made more sense. I am looking for this type of lid color so I can wear it alone as a wash (with perhaps a little liner and crease color just to polish it off) for an easy wear and go look. I can't wear colors that are too dark or too light alone as a wash as it washes me out for some reason, so something with a little darkness and depth will probably be most flattering.

I think the recommendations you all gave are just what I am looking for, especially since you all own these colors and can make suggestions based on live swatches versus computer swatches.

Based on the feedback, Hairpin and Spoiler seem to be popular suggestions. Spellbound looks super pretty too.

If you all think of anything else, let me know. I appreciate the information!

I love Sweet Tea. It definitely goes on coppery red/brown for me, but too light for an all over wash. That's interesting how it shows up slightly pink on you.

No I haven't tried Spoiler or Hairpin.....definitely going on my list!

Spellbound looks great. I have Dark Arts and it seems kind of similar. Do you know how they compare (if you have Dark Arts)?

Nice to meet another medium yellowish girl! I actually thought about Fusion and Blanket Fort, as well as Model but wondered if they would be too light for me. I have Propiniquity but it kind of looks odd on me, though I still love it as a subtle crease color.
