Hair Elixir Vitamin Treatment

sadly the hair elixir didn't do anything good for my hair - it was really hard to brush through afterwards, like it made individiual strands of hair stick together. on top of that i felt that it made my hair greasy on day 2, while i usually last 3 days in between washes 
i thought, maybe the elixir could be used as a face toner? reading through the ingredients, i couldn't really figure out if it has anything in it that would be bad for the face (other than potentially causing excessive hair growth
). i have a nearly full bottle and i don't like the idea of tossing it.
can anyone, maybe karen, shed some light on this? thanks!
