If you're shadow-shy, Cream and Earth are great neutrals and nearly fail-safe. Adjusting your brows may be best done with pencil, as someone suggested earlier.

I also suffer from very dry skin, but I have had no problem with my makeup sliding off. In fact, it seems to last forever. What I apply beneath my powder foundation is basically a tinted moisturizer.
