Karen,
Can u possibly make a liquid gloss like smashbox's production? It's a very sheer nude sparkly gloss, not highly pigmented at all, but ooohhh so pretty on.
Thanks,
Deb

Oh, I agree! I saw it at Sephora and it is a great product.

Yes, I love their glosses. The color I'm wishing for is actually called Production. It is kind of a sparkly nudish/champagne color in the tube. On the lips, it just looks like a gorgeous sparkly sheer wash of gloss. Matches EVERY makeup combo I've ever paired it with. Maybe because it's so sheer, it lets your lip color come through. Unfortunately, the color is discontinued. I can still find it on EBay, thank goodness. I've tried other sheer sparkly colors, but they come out looking too 'frosty' on my lips.

How does Smashbox Production differ from SN Champagne?
I can't seem to find a swatch of Smashbox Production online, so would you please describe how it differs from SN's Champagne? I haven't tried Champagne, but I also prefer not to sport frosty lips.

You can find it on Ebay, but unfortunately no swatches. It is very sheer, but not clear. It has just enough tannish gold pigment in the clear part of the gloss to even out your own natural lip color, but not neccessarily change your lip color. The pink of your lips still comes through. (If that makes any sense.) It has a tiny bit of irridescent sparkle to it. On the lips the sparkle just makes for an EXTREMELY glossy look. I think that the shimmer in SN champagne is more finely milled, and more monochromatic giving a tad more frosty look. Hope I made sense!!!

I think this is an apt description. It is NOT frosty at all, as Deb has said here. It is a tan color but it is SO sheer. It is shimmery, but not frosty at all. The iridescence comes from (as far as I could tell) gold/champagne glitter with just a hint of silver (JUST A HINT - not much), and perhaps a touch of peach and pink - again, JUST A TOUCH. The predominant colors are tan and champagne. And I would say it is neutral with both warm and cool tones to it.luvmymakeup wrote:You can find it on Ebay, but unfortunately no swatches. Thanks for the links. I found the EBay ones, and I was tempted to buy, but that color came out like 4 years ago, and has not been re-released since, so they are probably old batches. I just love this gloss though, so I'm hoping Karen is listening and may agree to make some super sheer liquid glosses. Production is one I just keep going back to. It is gorgeous with a smokey eye, as it is so subtle. Actually, I haven't found a look I didn't like it with. It is VERY versatile. If any one can dupe it, Karen can!!!
