Hey karen, when I say clogged pores I mean wee whiteheads springing up. Tiny pimples. =(
I do use a lot of pore clarifying things on a regular basis, Neutrogena's Deep Clean Gentle Scrub at night, Clinique's Clarifying Toner once a day, Differin at night, and an incredible clarifying serum for day that they make in Malaysia & Singapore (B'Liv Pro Sebum Gel). The latter combined with a gel-moisturiser (~H2O+) really cleared up my skin. So I was looking to the serum to get it under control.
I'll take what you advised under consideration and give it a whirl again once the face clears up completely and try a little extra exfoliation.
Oil Control Serum??
Re: Oil Control Serum??
I don't know how long you've been using the clinique toner, but I used it a year or two ago, my skin was great for a couple of weeks then I developed really deep spots on my chin, and I just thought maybe it was purging or something (I still have no idea how you tell the difference between purging and breaking out lol..) but I carried on using it cause I had the massive bottle, and seriously my skin went from bad to worse, I think it must have over stripped my skin and it was realy flakey in places and I was getting the most awful clogged pores and the deep zits, as well as lots of little whiteheads. I went back on it again to use up the bottle but my skin just broke out immediately
My cousin loves the stuff though, her skin's always been perfect lol! But I know a few people who've had problems.

Re: Oil Control Serum??
hey Kahani, Sorry to hear it seems like the OCS isn't working out for you at the moment?
On the flipside, all the ladies I gave samples to love it. Its the one reason they are trying out more samples of other SN goodies. Then they'll do a haul on the large sizes. So far, no one's commented about skin reactions, but then again, it took awhile for yours to show up, right? We'll keep monitoring, but so far, they really like it.

Sarah: Aww.. sorry to hear that. That's the awful thing about beauty products they don't ALL work for everyone. I've been using the clarifying lotion for 3 years now and it's been wonderful for my skin. I see a marked diff with and without it.
Pinkpomelo: I intend to give it another try! Could be other reasons. =D *crosses fingers*

the first time i used it it worked wonders! after the second day though my skin started getting oilier... so i have stopped using it. bummer, i really liked the initial effect...
Re: Oil Control Serum??
Yeah my skin kind of reached a plateau just as I bought the full size but it is amazingly hydrating, kind of leaves my skin feeling plumped! I'm still after the culprit of my breakouts though so its off the cards for a little while!

Re: Oil Control Serum??
I have very oily, acne prone skin and have been using the oil control serum daily for several weeks. I can't say that my skin appears to be any less oily (still blotting every hour), but it does seem clearer!
I had been using it under my moisturizer, but I think now I'll try it over top instead, per someone else's post...
