difference between intensive and firming moisturizer?

Post by xraisonxdetre » Thu Aug 20, 2009 6:27 pm

Hello!

So, I just read the entire skin care routine thread and it was SO helpful!

I don't have a moisturizer that I LOVE. I've been using a combination of jojoba oil and vitamin e oil as a moisturizer, and its good, but not great. I was looking into the intensive moisturizer, and saw that it along with the firming moisturizer have the same description? or they are extremely similar? What is the difference? All I can see is that the intensive is for drier, more mature skin. Is there anything else? It seems like people really really like them both, but I just wasn't sure the difference.

Thanks for your help :)

The Firming is a little lighter than the Intensive. I will be using the Intensive in the Winter when my skin is drier. If your skin is on the dry side, I would go with the Intensive.

Also, for the firming moisturizer, it says that it shouldn't be used with any serums. In that case, what should be used for the "treat" aspect of the skin care routine. Or, does the firming moisturizer count as both treating and sealing?

I use the Firming. I'm considering using the Firming in the daytime and then purchasing the Intensive to use at night for a richer treatment.

As for the serums, the Sodium PCA doesn't agree with the gel formula moisturizer....but there's even away around that. Use your water-based serums first (I highly recommend the Super Serum) and let it dry. Then use the gel moisturizer and pat it on- don't rub hard or it will "pill up".

I have been so pleased with the skin-care. I have not used an oil-based moisturizer every day, ever- until now. I've never cared for the effect that emulsifying waxes has had on my skin. The Renovage has worked wonders on my skin, too.
