I've been using Everyday Minerals Original Glo in Olive Fair, and I just found out about Silk Naturals, which gets rave reviews on makeupalley.com. I want to try SN, but I don't know which base color to try for foundation. My skin is fair to light, and pretty neutral (although for some reason the EM in Olive tones is the best match). What would you recommend as the best place to start here? And does anyone have any other suggestions as to blush, finishing powder, etc. that might be appropriate for me? Many thanks for your help.

If you're a warmish neutral, or olive, I'd go with Warm Gold. Don't think you'd need Buttery Gold, but a sample of Warm Gold, a sample of Ebony, and the Ivory base of your choice (original or medium - heavy is more for concealer, unless you want VERY heavy cover) would likely work.

For blushes, I'm thinking Lovelace would look good on you, and if you're fair, so might Petal. Poppy would likely be a good colour for you too, and Jamie. If you don't have a fibreoptic blush brush - grab one. The SN ones are perfect for blush. Even those of us who are pale can wear all those formerly scary colours with it, and it makes blush and/or bronzer application a LOT easier. Beach Bunny is a really nice bronzer, btw.

It's pretty hard to go wrong with the original Silk Perfection Powder, but you might want samples of both Date Bait and Tempt Tryst - Love Lure would probably be too dark for you (I have to lighten it up some to use it).

As for the lippies - go nuts. We all do eventually :)

Welcome to the forum! I think you'll like it around here, and I know you'll love SN. If you run into foundation trouble, post a pic, and one of us will be able to help you out.
