Ultimate Kabuki - Is it normal to lose this many hairs?

Post by Oryx » Thu Oct 28, 2010 10:40 pm

I got my 2nd ultimate kabuki brush in the mail on October 14th, and since then, it's lost this many hairs:

I started saving the hairs that fell out because my 1st ultimate kabuki only shed about 5 hairs in total, and I got kind of scared when I discovered that hairs were coming off several at a time. There were some that fell into the sink when I was just applying foundation, but I didn't pick those up. I also haven't washed this brush yet and I am worried what will happen when I do... Is this normal and will it stop?

I don't think it's normal and -as a customer service issue- i would contact karen through the website. My synthetics don't shed like that- the fiber optics can, but i've never experienced it with a synthetic

This is not the norm for sure. Since it is a customer service issue, please email us through the website. There really isn't anyone on the forum that can help resolve customer service issues, and that is why our forum rules request that customer service issues are handled by email.

I did delete your pic and forward it to Karen.

No worries! It's normal for any brush to lose a few hairs when they're new- yours may be a bit above average though. Give it a wash, and see what happens. We guarantee all of the Ultimate Brushes- so just email me through the site and we'll take care of you.

My kabuki also shed alot of bristles at first and I was afraid to wash it but I did and it haven't shed any since. Love it!
